Nigeria’s election management body is pushing for the adoption of e-collation and transmission of election results to further strengthen the electoral process.
INEC Chairman, Mahmoud Yaqub, stated this at a news conference in Abuja.
He was speaking against the backdrop of alleged manipulations in election results, particularly in the recent legislative rerun in Rivers state.
Nigeria’s chief electoral officer is also in support of diaspora voting but worries about the cost implication for the country.
