Relief seems to have come the way of Super Falcons with reports from Abuja saying the Presidency has assured the aggrieved team they will be paid their entitlements in two days.
The Falcons embarked on a protest march at the entrance of the National Assembly Complex in Abuja on Wednesday morning, demanding for their outstanding allowances and bonuses estimated to be 24,000 dollars each.
The Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari, Abba Kyari who was at the venue calmed the nerves of the players and assured them they will be paid on or before Friday.
Meanwhile, football fans who were at the protest have called on the government to pay the players as soon as possible.
