National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to stay strong and comply with the lockdown by the federal government.

Bola Tinubu who made the appeal at his residence also announced that he will be donating the sum of 200 million naira to fight the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

So far, two deaths have  been recorded, there is need for more proactive measures.

The 14-day lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja as a way of breaking the spread of Covid-19 is the latest move in the country.

Some Nigerians are worried that the restrictions may further take a negative toll on them.

However, the National leader of the APC who has joined other well meaning Nigerians to donate towards curbing and managing the spread of the virus has encouraged Nigerians to stay strong and comply with the lockdown for the good of the nation.

He urged Nigerians to come together in fighting the common enemy and do away with all forms of religious, political and ethnic divisions.

Bola Tinubu who announced on his twitter handle that he will donate the sum of 200 million naira to fight the pandemic; 100 million to the Lagos State government and 100 million to NCDC, believes it is best at this period to be less selfish and more selfless.

At the end of the 14-day lockdown, it would have been clear to Nigerians where the country stands with the global concerns.

And that will determine whether to call off the restriction and return to regular living or adopt other measures.
