The National Association of Nigerian students has called on the National Centre for Disease Control to live up to expectations and respond to emergency situations as expected.
This is as Nigeria records the first casualty of Coronavirus.
The National Public Relations Officer of the body made this known while speaking on the state of the nation and the struggle to combat the spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
He expressed displeasure on the alleged snail pace operation of the officials of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, urging the agency to be proactive in order to safe the lives of many citizens.
The students Union body also commended the federal and state Governments for closing of schools and prevention of people from having large gatherings, noting that the measures will assist in limiting the spread of
the Coronavirus Pandemic.
