The Nigerian Shippers Council said efforts are ongoing to improve its service delivery at the nation’s ports.
Executive Secretary of the Council, Hassan Bello, stated this while receiving a delegation of the International Monetary Fund.
He said some of the challenges affecting the port’s efficiency include inadequate logistics and deficiencies in the single window clearance process, which need to be accelerated for goods to be discharged quickly.
The IMF delegation’s visit is an annual checkup on the economy to determine its performance and challenges.
