The Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole has condemned reports, alleging poor relationship between the Military and the Borno State Government.
Major General Olusegun Adeniyi said there are mischief makers trying to portray the Nigerian Military, in a bad light .
It would be recalled that the Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Zullum not too long ago taken the military to task frowned over alleged extortion of commuters at security check points in the state. A development that has fuelled insinuations that the government is not in good terms with the military.
But the Theatre Commander of operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi, insisted that the Command has an excellent working relationship with the Borno State Government devoid of any problem.
The Theatre Commander further restates the commitment of the army towards ending the insurgency that has raged in the North-East region for the past 10 years.
This renewed commitment has brought successes for the army such as the recent repelling of a major attack at Damask by insurgents who attacked
with 14 gun trucks but were overpowered by the military and Airforce.
The Theatre Commander Operation Lafiya Dole says all hands must be on deck to ensure the total success of the fight against terrorism.
