The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) Mahmood Yakubu, has reassured Nigerians of the Commission’s commitment to ensuring speedy and safe delivery of huge quantities of sensitive and non-sensitive material for 2023 general elections.
This was disclosed at the inauguration of electoral logistics committee in Abuja.
INEC has over the years received less criticism over its handling of elections across the country.

While elections in Nigeria are usually faced with such challenges as logistics and violence, the electoral body has been able to reduce incidents of ballot snatching quite considerably with tremendous help from security agencies.
As another elections cycle rolls by citizens are left worried about what INEC has put in place to ensure a smooth run of elections.
It is why the Commission has decided to inaugurate its electoral logistics committee on time in order to guarantee a seamless delivery of men and materials to the right place at the right time.
At the event, the INEC Chairman , Mahmood Yakubu disclosed that the Commission is determined to reverse the challenges of logistics, and will open the polls on time to enable Nigerians have a good voting experience.
The Chairman of the Committee, Modibbo Alkali pledged to deliver his responsibilities with all sense of diligence .
Members of the committee consist of representatives from the Nigerian Army, Airforce , Aviation FRSC, Navy, NPA and others.
