N/Delta Youth Group wants revival of Seaports

Image result for Youth Group wants revival of three Seaports in Niger DeltaSome Niger Delta youth are urging the federal government to quickly resolve the issues plaguing the region which have resulted in attacks on oil infrastructure.

The Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Council wants government to revive the Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar Sea Ports, and they also want governors in the region to set up an economic team.

Militant Strikes on oil installations in the Niger Delta have led to the erosion of the nation’s wealth.But the Niger Delta Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders think that the root cause of the problem is youth unemployment.

Another issue is the Maritime University in Kurutie-Okerenkoko, Delta State which looks abandoned despite huge sums of money sunk into the project to develop infrastructure in the institution.

The youth leaders plead with the Federal Government to revive the Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar Sea Ports to boost maritime activities in the Niger Delta, and also, the Export Processing Zone project In Delta State, the Brass Fertilizer Project in Bayelsa, and the Bonny Train 7 project in Rivers and other states in the region.
