TVC News’ Reporter, Sharon Ijasan, has merged Runner Up, Broadcast Category, at the 14th edition of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Journalism.
Sharon also received financial grant to continue her investigative report on Child abuse.
Also, Bukola Samuel-Wemimo, anchor of the popular hard talk show, Fireworks, also won Special Commendation award at the annual event.
Earlier, a member of the judging panel Umaru Patel, appealed for support in developing this branch of journalism.
He said many entities did not meet the laid down guidelines and fell below the minimum standards.
