Ekiti bank robbery: Police allege internal connivance, arrest two staff

Image result for Police arrest two bank staff over bank robbery attack in Oye-EkitiPreliminary findings by the police reveal that Thursday’s robbery at a commercial bank in Oye-Ekiti couldn’t have been successful without the connivance of an insider.

The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Amba Asuquo who visited the Crime Scene with some Journalists said more facts will soon be made public.

The armed robbers used a dynamite to bring down the security door before gaining access into the banking hall, and carted away millions of Naira.
According to the Commissioner of Police, the CCTV Footages revealed that the Bank operators connived with the criminals to rob the bank.

Reacting to the incidence, Oloye of Oye Ekiti, who was visibly devastated by the happenings in the town says the Culprits must be brought to book, regardless of whoever is involved

This is the Fourth Bank Robbery in Ekiti in the last one year, and the repeated attack on communities outside the state capital, raises questions as to the efficiency of the policing system.
