5 brigadier generals and 3 commodores received their new ranks today at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers, family members, spouses, friends and well wishers of the newly promoted senior officers.
The chief of defense staff who was represented by Rear Adm. Apochi Suleiman , urged the newly decorated officers to be more resilient and strategic in thinking especially in the face of the present security challenges.
Recipients of the new ranks said they are more than ready to take up any challenge that may be required of them.
The newly decorated Brigadier generals are: Onyema Nwachukwu, Yakubu Sakaba, Audu Mbafung, Ochoge Attah and Magaji Inuwa and the newly decorated commodores are:
Innocent Ngatuwa, Chukwuma Anakwe and Bolanle Sunday
