There appears to be a growing mutually beneficial relationship between the Lagos state government and Lagos members of the federal house of representatives.

The Governor of Lagos state said this bond is in the greater interest of the state.

TVC News Senior Correspondent, Femi Akande reports that National Leader of the All Progressives Congress Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the visitor at an interaction between the Lagos state Governor and members of the house of representatives from Lagos state.

The delighted Lagos federal lawmakers were encouraged by the former Lagos Governor to improve the quality of representation and legislation in the interest of Lagos state and Nigerians.

But Bola Tinubu also told Journalists about the protracted clamor for the creation of state police and his preference for community policing which is more effective and result oriented.

The speaker of the house of representatives and the governor of Lagos state believes that there should be a stronger partnership between the executive arm in states and the National Assembly.

Lagos state government has been put on its toes lately in mitigating the impact of flash floods and the state government has also declared a state of emergency on roads in the state and rehabilitation work has since started.

The Governor said there is more to do in infrastructure, security and the economy to achieve a greater Lagos.
