The Nigerian Senate has annulled its decision to issue a warrant of Arrest against the Managing Director of of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc , Dr Peer Lubasch.
The Senate reversed its verdict following an apology by the Construction Company which was contained in a letter that was read at Tuesday’s Plenary session by the President of the Senate .
Julius Berger had in the letter stated that it’s failure to appear before the lawmakers after several invitation was not deliberate and was as a result of leadership transition within the company.
Recall that the Senate had issued a warrant of arrest against the Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc , for persistent refusal to appear before the Senate committee on Works for required explanations on project abandonment and alarming contract variation from N54billion to N195billion.
However the Senate accepted the apology from Julius Berger after a voice vote after the letter was read at Plenary.
