Some of these prevalent vices include drug abuse, cyber crime, cultism, sexual misconduct such as rape and a host of others.
Speaking at the annual Jihad Week of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria at the University of Ibadan, speakers expressed concerns about the impact of moral decadence on the future of Nigerian youths.
They advised the young persons to emulate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a way to curb the menace of moral decadence in society.
For other stakeholders at the event, the government must play a crucial role in curbing moral decadence in the country by creating an enabling environment for them to thrive and compete with their peers across the world.
Stakeholders at the event believe that by implementing policies that promote moral values, enforcing laws that deter immoral behaviors, and providing economic opportunities, Nigeria can mitigate the effects of moral decadence
