Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has commenced monitoring of ongoing Projects implemented under the UBEC/SUBEB 2022-2023 Matching Grant.
The exercise carried out by the Executive Chairman of the state Universal Basic Education Board , Grace Adagba, aimed to ensure Contractors comply with implementation standards.
Executive chairman Subeb, accompanied by the Board’s Management team, UBEC State Coordinator and the SUBEB Project Design and Monitoring Committee, visited multiple project sites across the state to assess progress.
This new structures is expected will address the increased student enrollment resulting from recent Enrollment Drive Campaigns across the State.
Expressing satisfaction with the presence and work of Contractors on-site, she charged them to adhere strictly to project specifications.
Additionally, directing all Contractors to erect Project Signboards within 48 hours.
The UBEC State Coordinator, confirmed that enrollment in public schools has significantly improved following the campaigns.
While the Director of Physical Planning and Technical Services, emphasized the importance of adhering to the construction timeline, projecting that the projects will be completed and handed over in the first quarter of 2025.
During the monitoring exercise in Vandeikya, at a courtesy visit to the Acting Tor Jechira He commended the state Governor,
Hyacinth Alia for the commitment to uplifting basic education standards in Benue State.
