The Nigerian Army has inaugurated a new theatre training school at the Maimalari Military Cantonment Maiduguri with the aim of enhancing its operational efficiency in the North East Region.
Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Waidi Shaibu explained that the facility would be essential in improving the fighting capacity of the soldiers.
The Nigerian Army has persisted in stepping up its operations against Boko Haram terrorists in the North East Region.
The continued recovery of weapons from the insurgents is evidence that the fight is yielding results.
To further enhance the capacity of the soldiers, this training school has been upgraded.
Another new school is here to provide training on counter-insurgency operations.
The army notes that this is part of its strategy of improving the working capabilities of its soldiers, for effective service delivery.
The establishment of this training school is expected to go a long way in advancing combat skills of the army personnel in their fight against insurgency.
