Four lawmakers have been suspended indefinitely by the Imo State House of Assembly over alleged plot to impeach the Speaker, Chike Olemgbe.
The speaker who announced their suspension during a plenary session at the house of assembly in owerri the Imo state capital alleged that the four lawmakers have brought disrepute and ridicule to the house by their actions at various fora.
According to him, they always incite other members against the leadership of the house for no just cause and trying to impeach the speaker and after an executive session the decision to suspend them was taken.
The lawmakers affected by suspension include, the member representing Ahiazu-Mbaise Samuel Otuibe,his Ezinihitte-Mbaise Counterpart Henry Agbasonu.
Others are Chidiebere Ogbunikpa from Okigwe , and Dominic Ezerioha from Oru-West state constituencies.
