A political support group for the 2023 presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress, Tinubu-Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council, has been dissolved.
The campaign council was set up shortly after the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC, to complement its efforts by driving the campaigns to the nooks and crannies of the country.
National Coordinator of the group, Silas Agara, made the disclosure while speaking to newsmen in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Agara who is former Deputy Governor of the state says the decision was occasioned by the recent dissolution of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council at the national level.
For him, leaders of the group took the decision shortly after the return of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, who recently arrived Nigeria after spending weeks outside the country.
The National Coordinator also called on all citizens of the country to give the President-elect the needed support to enable them take Nigeria to greater heights after inauguration.
