The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI, Major General Waidi Shaibu has charged troops of 26 Task Force Brigade to remain dogged and deal decisively with the Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists within their Area of Operations.
General Shaibu gave the charge on Sunday while on operational visit to assess the combat readiness of front-line troops deployed in Gwoza general area, Borno State.
The GOC called on the troops to maintain an offensive posture, charging them to remain vigilant at all times, while emphasizing that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign was by no means over.
He further admonished the troops to remain courageous, disciplined and professional in routing the remnants of the BHTs and ISWAP terrorists, urging them to avoid all acts that obstructs the actualization of their operational mandate.
The General warned the troops that acts of indiscipline or cowardice would not be condoned while urging them to be contented with their allowances and desist from substance abuse.
