Access to Food and inflation has been a major issue since the nation went into double recession a few years back and this has made it very difficult for a lot of Nigerians to make ends meet and survive.

The situation has been further compounded by the activities of middle men in the nations food distribution chain and network.

The War in Ukraine has also ensured that a ripple effect that can be traced from the Oil and Gas Sector to the supply of essential food items like wheat which has sent prices hitting the roof and taking essential commodities out of the reach of the average Nigerian.

The recent report by the National Bureau of Statistics disclosing that 63% of Nigerians are now living in poverty is a particularly alarming and damning one which shows the depth of deprivation currently in the Country.

The distribution by the Wife of the Chief of Naval Staff and NAOWA as a whole will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of the people.
