Flooding: Oluremi Tinubu donates N50m to displaced families in Bayelsa

 

Wife of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated 50 million naira to help 1,000 displaced families resume their businesses following the recent flood tragedy in Bayelsa State.

This donation is intended to lessen the suffering of the victims.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu was welcomed with cheers by over 8000 IDPs at the Oxbow lake pavilion, the biggest displaced persons camp in Bayelsa State.

Joined by the minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, the distinguished senator sympathised with the affected persons with relief materials including food and medical supplies.

With an advance team of medical professionals already providing medical services at the displaced persons camp in Igbogene, the visiting team came with more food materials for the people with the promise of more assistance in the coming days.

The medical outreach from the APC is set to continue until the IDPs are fully reintegrated back into their various communities.
