The Nigerian Army said it will continue to engage civilian populace and social media influencers to correct the negative narrative being spread about the military operations in Nigeria.
This was revealed in Sokoto by the Director of civil-militaty relations of the Nigeria Army Headquarters, Major General US Mohammed during a one day seminar organised for social media influencers in the state by the Nigeria Army in conjunction with security affairs.
The Army General says the social media have a crucial role to play in support of the Nigeria army non Kinetic line of operation, hence
the need for this engagement.
According to him, the Nigeria Army is winning the war against the insurgents in the north east contrary to the stories on some
social and conventional media outlets in the country.
He said this engagement started three years ago in Port Harcourt and it has helped in correcting the negative narrative been peddled before now about the operations of the military across the nation.
