The Nigerian Air Force has struck and killed several fighters of the Islamic State, West Africa Province, at Bukar Meram, on the fringes of Lake Chad, in Borno State.
Spokesman of the Air Force, Ibikunle Daramola, said the attack was carried out following Intelligence that the location was used for logistics support to the insurgents under the guise of fishing.
He said before the strikes, more than thirty five insurgents were observed within the area and the attack aircraft subsequently engaged the location, hitting the target area.
