The Gombe State government has recovered twenty-one sport utility vehicles, one armored vehicle, and twenty tricycles it alleges were inappropriately disposed of by the last administration.
The chairman of the state Asset Recovery Committee showed the items to journalists, and pledged to retrieve more.
Exotic vehicles, complete integrated bakery equipment, metal fabrication machines, and tricycles were part of some items recovered from the immediate past administration in Gombe state
It alleges that due process was not followed in allocating the assets to beneficiaries in the last days of the administration.
But there were questions about how much assets are missing or inappropriately disposed of.
The committee chairman later revealed that many of the items were voluntarily returned as more individuals have indicated their willingness to return government assets in their custody.
Former top officials of the state have been invited to account for missing government assets.
Controversy has surrounded the sale or allocation of Gombe state government properties to individuals in the last days of the immediate past administration.
