Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Solomon Adeola while meeting with the management of Total at a hearing at the National Assembly complex said the company did not provide all relevant documents as demanded on compliance with local content laws.
Other Senators on the panel drilled the Total management on the two hundred thousand barrels per day FPSO facility being built on the Egina deepwater oil field which is scheduled to commence production in 2018.
They questioned the French company on the number of Nigerians on the massive project, number of local contractors among others noting that the project is meant to boost skills transfer and job creation. Not satisfied, the company was asked to return with detailed documents in one week.
