Egypt says U.S. President Donald Trump has told President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during a phone call that he wants to visit Cairo.
A statement from the Egyptian presidency says Trump had called Sisi to stress the importance of strategic relations between the two countries.
Sisi visited Washington last month for talks with Trump, intended to reset relations that had become strained under former President Barack Obama.

Egypt is one of Washington’s closest allies receiving 1.3 billion dollars in military aid annually.
