National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has charged APC members in Lagos to respect party decision and ensure that it emerges victorious in the forthcoming Local Government elections.
He said this at the APC Lagos stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos.
The meeting was for party members to be intimated with plans, decisions and strategies on how to be victorious in the forthcoming Chairmanship and Counsellorship elections in the 57 LGA/LCDAs and 377 Wards respectively in the State.
Tinubu recounted how the efforts of dedicated members at the local government level helped the party emerge victorious in the last election.
Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode thanked the national leader, other party leaders and supporters for choosing him during the 2015 governorship election.
APC Chairman in Lagos state, Henry Ajomale appealed to aspirants and party members to adhere to the decision of the party and prepare for the primaries and the election proper.
The election fixed for July the 22nd will be the first grassroots election to be held in Lagos after the metamorphosis of the party from Action Congress of Nigeria to All Progressives Congress.
