The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC says there is no infighting within its ranks.
The party’s spokesman, Chris Finebone said sponsors of such rumors are only out to score cheap political points ahead of the 2019 general election.
The Rivers state APC spokesman was reacting to comments credited to Governor Nyesom Wike and other PDP leaders at an event in Port Harcourt.
At a rally where about 8000 persons were said to have defected from the APC to the PDP, the Governor was quoted to have attributed it to a brewing crisis amongst the party leaders.
But Finebone said what Is happening is a mere buildup to the 2019 general election.
The APC also queried the credibility and political value of the persons who have crossed over to the PDP.
Finebone also predicted the defection of heavy political weights from the PDP to the APC in Rivers state within the next one month.
