Protecting vulnerable people from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse has again been brought to the fore for consideration by the United Nations General Assembly.
In a report presented by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, a new victim-centered approach was outlined to prevent and respond to such abuses committed by those serving under the UN flag.
The new approach will not only deal with host countries where the crimes actually took place, but also the countries where the perpetrators are from.
