Ahmad steps down as Madagascar Senate Leader

Confederation of African Football president Ahmad Ahmad has stepped down as vice president of the Madagascar Senate.

The 53 year old has vacated the office he has occupied since February last year.

Ahmad, a two-time government minister, is also expected to quit his position as the Madagascar FA president, as required by the CAF rules.

Ahmad was elected CAF president last Thursday to bring to an end to Issa Hayatou’s 29-year rule.
