The result leaves Egypt and Mali tied in second place in Group A, behind Zambia on three points with Guinea on zero points.
The next set of U20 Afcon fixtures take place on Monday in Group B with Senegal taking on Sudan while Cameroon will go up against South Africa.
The Amajita will be without captain Tercious Malepe who is serving his one-match suspension following the second yellow card he received in the qualifiers against Lesotho.
