At least six people have died and sixteen others injured in multiple bomb blasts which occurred near a checkpoint at the entrance of Madagali Town, in Adamawa State.
An Eye witness said three suicide bombers blew themselves up alongside two vigilante members who approached them.
He explained that the bombers detonated the bomb, when they realized that the vigilante men were closing in on them.
But ,the chairman of Madagali local government Yusuf Mohhamed who gave a conflicting account of the incident, said the three suicide bombers were intercepted by vigilantes.

Mohammed said one person died and two others sustained injury.
