The disbursement of the #5,000 conditional cash transfer programme of the federal government has taken off in Osun state.
Indigent persons from two pilot local government areas, Ife North and Ila, out of the 12 selected councils collected December, 2016 and January, 2017 stipends of N10,000 each.
A total of seven thousand, nine hundred and ninety three accredited poor Nigerians from selected 12 local government areas of Osun state will benefit in the conditional cash transfer of the federal government.
Some of the beneficiaries of the cash, appreciate the gesture of the federal government and assured of judicious use of the money.
The head of unit, state cash transfer, speaks on the aims of the programme and how they were able to know indigents from those who are well off.
