Four members of the Ussisa Vigilante outfit that assisted the Police in Delta State to rescue the kidnapped monarch of Agbara-Warri kingdom Thursday night has been rewarded by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
The reward which came in cash form was handed over to the four gallant local Vigilante on behalf of the governor by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Zana Mohammed Ibrahim.
Mr. Zana Mohammed who presented the undisclosed sum of money to the beneficiaries at the Delta State Police Command headquarters in Asaba said the gift was a reward for patriotism and gallantry.
Mr. Zana Mohammed admonished other community Vigilante outfits in the state to be alive to their responsibilities as the Ussisa Vigilante group demonstrated on Thursday.
He insisted that such seriousness was required to boost the security of lives and property in the state.
Responding, the leader of the Ussisa Vigilante outfit, Alex Ogbolu commended the governor for the gesture. He also thank the police commissioner for letting the governor know about their contribution to the monarch’s rescue.
