Abuja residents call for Emefiele’s resignation

cbn-3Hundreds of women and youth took to the streets of the nation’s capital, abuja calling for the removal or resignation of the central bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

The peaceful march which ended in front of the gates of the central Bank of nigeria headquarters, had women crying to drive home their demands

The intense hardship in the economy facing millions and the depleting value of the currency are just some out of the many grievances on their list.

Speaking after the march, a member of the organizing team, Paul Obi told TVC news that the group has given a seven day ultimatum to the federal government after which if nothing is done, they will occupy the CBN.
