The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Edo state governorship election, Ize-Iyamu has cast his vote in Benin City.
In a chat with our correspondent shortly after casting his vote, the governorship hopeful disclosed that the exercise has been peaceful in most areas he had contacted and hoped it will continue across the other parts of the state.
Meanwhile, voting process has started at various polling units in Edo central senatorial district.
The impressive turnout of voters in the area could be an indication that the stakes are indeed high and there is a high level of political conciousness among the people.
