A devastating flood has ravaged the communities of Buji, Gwadayi, and Balangu in Buji and Kafin-Hausa Local Government Areas of Jigawa State, leaving 1,200 households homeless and a trail of destruction in its wake.
According to ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, Public Relations Officer of the Jigawa State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, who confirmed the occurrence, several families were forced to abandon their homes for safety.

Floodwaters damaged over 100 homes and fields, leaving many families without refuge.
The tragedy occurred after heavy rainfall caused extensive damage, starting from 12am on Monday evening to Tuesday morning.
The affected victims, who have lost major farmlands and personal belongings, are now counting their losses and appealing for immediate assistance.
